“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!”
~ Hunter S. Thompson~
Hello,
I LOVE that quote. It is not particularly spiritual, or a beautiful Haiku or even a classic.
And although over the years I have learned not to "should" myself, this speaks to me. To my heart and to my truth.
Can you relate?
It is a lovely reminder to get out there and try new things, be afraid, fail, take a chance, do what you love, love who you love unconditionally, stand for what you believe in, stand with who you believe in, be confused, laugh til you pee and cant breathe, cry, travel, succeed, read, dance, talk to a stranger, express yourself, reinvent yourself, don't wait for "the right time".
The past few weeks and months have brought many challenges to those living in the path of Florence, rebuilding, healing and finding a new sense of normalcy. Whatever and wherever that may be for each of you, I offer my love and respect and know the strength and resiliency that it takes.
What a Ride! Indeed.
On the other side of life's events, we often find that we have learned so much. About ourselves and others. We are given opportunity and new adventures. Sometimes we must look hard and deep to realize the forward motion, and other times it comes and whispers in our ear or taps us on the shoulder, like an old friend.
I want to share with you exciting news about my new adventure!
I will be making a move to Hilton Head SC at the end of December and will continue doing this work that I love.
As my friend and one of my mentors Becky and I often talk about, allowing things to unfold can require patience but can be a magical experience all at the same time.
I'm leaning into Big Magic here!
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of my clients, students and mentors who have shared their stories, lives and support with me during the past year. It is an honour to have held space for you on my table and in my classes. I am continually learning from you.
Thank you for trusting me to be a part your journey.
I will be continuing to see my Hospice patients at their homes and schedule private clients in Southport & Wilmington until December 19th. I would love to see you before I leave. I will also be leading Yoga Nidra classes on Sunday evenings, at various locations up until Dec 16th. They are listed below.
I'd like to leave you today with this thought... "What are you waiting for?"
Be Well & Shine On
